What's the long decorative "runner" on top of bed duvets at the foot of the bed- nicer hotels- where 2 buy?

these pieces of quilt or cloth are usually about 3-4 feet wide and are as long as the width of the bed. I assume they are meant for decorative purposes only and I would like to know what they are called so that I can buy one as a decorative accent for my bed. Thanks!!

  1. They are called bed runners and sometimes bed scarves. You can also simply fold a blanket into thirds or fourths and lay it across the foot of the bed.

    Good luck!

Not sure but you might find the answer at a fabric store, bed bath and beyond, Nordstroms or the like high end shops…

I would even ask at the hotel you saw them at or an interior decorator consultants establishment…

Sorry I don’t know but hey, I’m a guy and do not need those things ;-)

  3. K-Mart sells them. They call them coverlets. The cheap way is to just buy a piece of material and put it on the bed. Fold all the raw edges so they don’t show. This method is purely decorative.
